Ich blogg’ hier ja normalerweise nur ganz selten über Single Tracks ohne Video. Aber für diese Kollaboration zwischen Burial, Four Tet und Thom Yorke MUSS ich eine Ausnahme machen – weil es größer und besser eigentlich kaum noch geht und ich mich gerade tierisch freue endlich Neues von Burial zu hören. Partially Buried – A Burial Mix

Lang kein Dubstep Set mehr gehabt. Aber bei Burial werd ich schwach. Asdfg hat sich ans Werk gemacht und 21 Tracks des Dubstep Altmeisters Burial in einen Mix gedrückt, den man sich ruhig mal gönnen sollte.

Wenn es um Dubstep geht kommt man eigentlich kaum an Burial vorbei. Ist einfach so. Umso erstaunlicher ist es das es bis heute eigentlich noch keinen zusammenhängenden Mix aus Burial Tracks gab. Zum Glück hat sich KFMW-Leser Flowbyte ans Werk gemacht und einen erstklassigen Mix zusammengestellt, welchen Ronny freundlicherweise auf seinem Soundcloud Account als Direktdownload hostet und ich mich bei beiden recht herzlich an dieser Stelle bedanke.

Mashup-Album: Colatron – Tenebrism

Lange Zeit war es still um Colatron der mit seinem ersten Mashup Album Welcome to my World der Blogszene ordentlich den Kopf verdreht hatte. Nun meldet er sich nach langer Pause wieder zurück auf den Brettern dieser Welt und hat schon wieder ein Mashup-Album im Gepäck. Wieder sehr chillig, viel Dubstep , düster und richtig gut wie ich finde.

The sequel to this year’s Welcome to My World, this journey will take you through dubstep, ambient, downtempo, IDM, computer games, horror soundtracks, requiems and Catholic Mass, my beloved Louise, sci-fi movie trailers, the sounds of the planets, astrophysicists, Shakespeare, and somehow…..Miles Davis . Only the brave need apply. Extremes of light and dark.

Das ganze gibt es auch wieder als kompletten Mix oder im Trackformat zum Dowload. Rechtsklick genügt.

Mashup-Album: Colatron – Welcome To My World

Oh mein Gott, wie konnte ich das nur nicht selbst finden! Das KFMW hat nochmal ein wenig nachgeforscht, nachdem er das Jacko-Burial-Bloc-Party Mashup gepostet hatte, und fand heraus, dass dies Teil eines kompletten Mashup-Albums ist dessen Tracklist ebenso unglaublich wie hörenswert, ist. Natürlich finden sich jede Menge Dubstep und einige Pop-Attitüden wieder, die höchst anspruchsvoll komponiert und arrangiert wurden. Anders als René habe ich mir das Ganze aber auch angehört und kann meine Beste Empfehlung aussprechen.
