Die Jungs und Mädels von Paper Too scheinen eine große Leidenschaft für liebevoll designte Papercraft Figuren von den Beatles, Queen, Bob Marley, Elvis Presley oder Michael Jackson zu haben. Das erinnert mich mal wieder daran das ich früher sogar mal einen Origami Kurs besucht hatte, aber kläglich gescheitert bin. via kfmw

“Everyday Chemistry” – Das Beatles Mashup-Album aus einem parallelen Universum

Auf der Suche nach einem frischen Mashup Album bin ich auf ein ziemlich merkwürdiges Stück Musik gestoßen von James Richards. Dieser ist nämlich, nachdem er sich selbst bewusstlos geschlagen hat, in einem parallelen Universum wieder zu sich gekommen in dem sich die Beatles nie getrennt haben und John, Paul, Ringo und George noch fröhlich weiter musizieren. In dieser quanten-verschobenen Realität gibt es auch nur noch Kassetten und ein brandheißes Album der noch lebenden Beatles namens “Everyday Chemistry”.  Bevor James diese Dimension wieder verließ konnte er glücklicherweise noch eine Kopie dieses Albums mitgehen lassen und hat dazu eine umfassende Story sowie das ganze Album als Download ins Netz gestellt.

“Everyday Chemistry” ist ein Mashup-Album von dem man halten kann was man will – im Wesentlichen ist es ein nettes Mashup einiger Post-Beatle-Solo-Tracks und ist gut genug für eine knappe Stunde kurzweilige Unterhaltung die ich euch nicht vorenthalten will.

Oh mein Gott, wie konnte ich das nur nicht selbst finden! Das KFMW hat nochmal ein wenig nachgeforscht, nachdem er das Jacko-Burial-Bloc-Party Mashup gepostet hatte, und fand heraus, dass dies Teil eines kompletten Mashup-Albums ist dessen Tracklist ebenso unglaublich wie hörenswert, ist. Natürlich finden sich jede Menge Dubstep und einige Pop-Attitüden wieder, die höchst anspruchsvoll komponiert und arrangiert wurden. Anders als René habe ich mir das Ganze aber auch angehört und kann meine Beste Empfehlung aussprechen.
