Days 15-20: The Glomerata larvae chew their way out of their surrogate womb caterpillar and begin to spin silken cocoons. The caterpillar also spins an additional, protective cocoon over the newly hatched clutch of larvae. It watches over them like a protective bodyguard until it finally starves to death.

Days 22-30: The parasitic wasps hatch from their cocoons as adults and live for only a few brief weeks.
