Ich war heute mal auf der Suche nach etwas neuem Zombie Material und habe dabei mehr oder weniger zufällig entdeckt, dass wohl eine der besten Zombie-Serien der letzten Jahre, noch vor The Walking Dead, in voller Länge und gratis auf Youtube anzuschauen dank eines netten Menschen auf Youtube zu sehen ist. Die Rede ist von Dead Set, eine Serie die ich selbst erst vor wenigen Monaten gesehen hatte und zu der sich René damals bei den Filmfreunden fast in Superlativen überschlagen hätte. Hier mal die Synopsis.
Britain has a big problem. The dead are returning to life and attacking the living. The people they kill get up and kill and its spreading like wildfire. Curiously, there are a few people left in Britain who arent worried about any of this thats because theyre the remaining contestants in Big Brother. Cocooned in the safety of the Big Brother house, theyre blissfully unaware of the horrific events unfolding outside. Until an eviction night when all hell breaks loose. Kelly, (Jaime Winstone) the production runner working on Big Brother finds herself caught in the impossible position of trying to fend off the walking dead alongside the remaining housemates, Davina herself, a host of former Big Brother housemates, her producer boss Patrick (Andy Nyman) and boyfriend Riq (Riz Ahmed). Over the ensuing days, in a cruel reflection of the game show they thought they were entering, the contestants fall victim, one by one, to the hungry masses outside. Staying alive requires teamwork which is tricky when youre a group specifically selected by TV producers to wind each other up.
Dead Set gehört schlicht und einfach zu den besten Zombie/Serien/Filmen der letzten Jahre und kann auch heute noch überzeugen, nicht zuletzt dank der bitterbösen Medienkritik, den guten und vor allem authentischen Darstellern und der nervenaufreibenden Erzählweise, die bis zum Ende das Tempo hält. Wer knappe zweieinhalb Stunde heute Abend Zeit hat, sollte sich das einfach mal gönnen.
Habe ick vor 2 Jahren schon gesehn! Immer wieder zu empfehlen.

Nur muss ich sagen>>>> echt dumm gewählt das Bild oben in den News. ******spoiler******** Toll gemacht damit man auch gleich weiß dass die “Hauptdarstellerin” stirbt am ende, epic spoiler. ******spoiler ende******* [ein neutrales Bild wäre um einiges fairer, nur falls ihr mal wieder Filme vorstellen wollt]

gauchar: Der Kerl, der uns das Ende von Lost bescherte? Den Anfang vielleicht, aber am Ende hatte JJ so gut wie gar nix mehr mit der Serie zu tun. Revolution sieht jedenfalls gut aus.
honki: @Der Sparsame: Das dürfte recht schwer werden, so ein Gömböc lebt von der absoluten Präzision und gleichmäßigen Dichte des Werkstoffs. Das wirst du heute noch nicht mit einem 3D-Drucker...
Der Sparsame: Ich würde den örtlichen 3D-Drucker-Besitzer fragen, ob er mir sowas ausdrucken könnt. Dann liegen die Kosten bei sechs, sieben Euro. :D
