“The Zombie Autopsies” – Steven Schlozman about the Neurobiology of Zombies

Steven Schlozman ist “Assistant professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and a lecturer at the Harvard School of Education” und hat ein Buch über die Neurobiologie von Zombies geschrieben, welches morgen erscheint  – The Zombie Autopsies. Ein wohl recht umfassendes Werk in dem er unter Anderem sehr präzise erklärt welche Teile und Funktionen des Gehirns Zombies zu dem machen was sie sind. Anlässlich der Veröffentlich morgen hat er noch ein Video produziert in dem er am Beispiel eines echten menschlichen Gehirns die Zombies aus Night of the Living Dead erklärt.

Der Mann ist kein Unbekannter, so erschien vor zwei Jahren auf io9 dieser abgedrehte Artikel über seine Ergebnisse der Neuropsychologie von Zombies und deren Krankheitsbild des “Ataxic Neurodegenerative Satiety Deficiency Syndrome”. Hatte ich seinerzeit gar nicht auf dem Schirm, ist aber durchaus interessant.

René hatte vor gar nicht so langer Zeit noch diesen Vortrag gefunden: „The Neurobiology, the Psychology, and the Cultural Overtones of the Zombie Film Genre“ der ganz gut dazu passt.
