Trailer: “Rubber”

Rubber ist der neue Film von Quentin Dupieux, den meisten wohl eher bekannt als Mr. Oizo, über einen Reifen der plötzlich zum Leben erwacht und mit seinen telephatischen Kräfte Menschen oder andere Gegenstände einfach in die Luft sprengen kann. Mehr brauch ich nicht wissen. Der Film hat mich jetzt schon mit seiner Klasse überzeugt. Punkt. Wer trotzdem mehr wissen möchte, hier die Description:

RUBBER is the story of Robert, an inanimate tire that has been abandoned in the desert, and suddenly and inexplicably comes to life. As Robert roams the bleak landscape, he discovers that he possesses terrifying telepathic powers that give him the ability to destroy anything he wishes without having to move. At first content to prey on small desert creatures and various discarded objects, his attention soon turns to humans, especially a beautiful and mysterious woman who crosses his path. Leaving a swath of destruction across the desert landscape, Robert becomes a chaotic force to be reckoned with, and truly a movie villain for the ages. Directed by legendary electro musician Quentin Dupieux (Steak, Nonfilm), aka Mr. Oizo, RUBBER is a smart, funny and wholly original tribute to the cinematic concept of no reason.

    Dieser Film erinnert mich daran, dass ich immer noch “enter the void” sehen muss. Wobei “Rubber” etwas humorvoller scheint als das andere Arthouse-Zeug. Dafür kommen beide musikalisch aus der gleichen Ecke.

    wie ich heute bei nem flmmagazin af 3sat gesehen habe, (was mich inzwischen wirklich davon überzeugt hat, dass das kein fake-trailer ist;)) ist das außerdem der erste spielfilm, der komplett mit DSLR-kameras gedreht wurde. schöne sache, das.
